Sharon Yvonne Stone, born 10 March 1958 from Meadville (Pennsylvania), is the daughter of Dorothy Lawson, a former employee at a factory and Joseph William Stone, a maker of tools and dies. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her 3 siblings. Stone was thought to be academically gifted when she started in the second grade at age five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). In addition, she competed in the Miss Pennsylvania pageant and won Miss Crawford County. Stone relocated from Pennsylvania to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt, to pursue a career as models. In just a few months, she signed up with Ford Modeling Agency. Soon after, Stone relocated back to Europe and spent an entire year living in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone was unhappy with the model business in Europe but decided to focus on acting instead. Woody Allen's film, "Stardust Memories", received mixed reviews when she was 20.
