Carey, who is almost 5'10 she was a popular American fashion model. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren liked her. Her father, who was a renowned scientist who won the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists 1979 Scientist of the Year award is a highly respected scientist. The father of Carey was a geologist and traveled across the globe as part of his professional career. Modeling began part time when she was a student studying at the University of Colorado and caught the attention of a representative from the Ford model Agency in New York. Following her move to France and briefly lived in Paris, Bordeaux and New York, she decided to return to New York and continue her training. Then, Vogue, Glamour and others were featured on their cover. She attended full-time classes in New York University, obtaining her degree in literature in between assignments as a model. As time passed, she was drawn to acting, and began studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Her part was a minor one of Club Paradise with Robin Williams, in 1986. In her spare time, she enjoys ski, wind surfing and rock climbing. She also enjoys white water rafting.
